I don’t know about you, but I am ready for a little Thanksgiving break. I know I always try to be diplomatic and encourage everyone to do some self-care each day so that you aren’t “white knuckling” it to get to the weekend or the next day off. And I certainly stand by that…but I’m still looking forward to the break!
So I’m checking in with some gratitude for a little time off to not feel hustled around by the incessant bell and to get a little break from the art of navigating student needs versus curriculum demands. My brain needs a little reset and my cup needs a little refill.
But just like all those respites that I try to make a habit each day, these breaks are just larger versions of that. So enjoy every moment of whatever you need to refill your reserves. You and your students will be better for it.I want to also extend my gratitude to all of you who have been with me throughout these past few months and even years, dutifully checking in via email, social media and in person. I have so much gratitude for all I’ve continued to learn from all of your journeys. Thank you for letting me be a part of it.
Sometimes I’m not sure about what I’m doing or if what I’m saying is resonating with anyone, but then someone reaches out and lets me know their experience and what they’re going through and it makes all of this worth it.
So I want to say I’m grateful to all of you. Thank you for continuing to allow me to be a part of your journey while the noise and speed of the world is at an all time high. It is humbling to think that you choose to make Teaching Well a part of your life. As a small token of my appreciation, I want to offer each of you Guided Mindfulness Practices for Teachers for only $19. This is an exclusive collection of 10 guided mindfulness practices created specifically for teachers to easily create your own mindfulness practice.
Also, check out this guided mindfulness practice on gratitude I led in our We are Teaching Well Facebook Group. We do a live morning mindfulness practice on most Thursdays around 6 am. Don’t worry, you can always catch the replay if your’re not able to make it live.
If you’re not a member yet, please check it out! The more the merrier.
